Rating: ★★★★☆

Here is our first attempt at a video review. It was definitely a learning experience for me. I wasn’t really happy with what I ended up with but decided to post it anyway. Next time I will make some changes for the better. Let me know what you guys think. If the video quality is too low or slow loading let me know about that also I will try to tweak that on the next go round. Details and knife specs on the full article.

defiantly keep going with the video reviews.

I went on a presentation skills course for work once where the trainer said ‘Purpose, process, pay off’ or what its ment to do, how it does it, and what that means to you. It helped me.

looking forward to seeing the next one.

Terrific presentation - and I think Meg enjoys her new toy too… (final frame of video). I’d like to see you review products and also demonstrate typical camp/outdoors tasks with them. Well done.

Wow I’m actually kinda suprised you allready have a video review up. Overall I like it, a really good idea. Tho I hate to be too critical just a couple suggestions I’ve learned:

Try to limit or even stop pausing looking for what to say next, Uhm and Ahh just don’t sound very confident. Its something we all do in every day life all over the world. But when making a presentation its better to know exactly what your gonna say. Try writing out a script if need be, which could be choreographed to the camera operation (i.e. when you mentioned the triple stitching the camera tried zooming in on that detailed but didn’t capture it well before you moved the product again).

I’d second what SBW and Mungo said too. After showing the product in detail, let us see it in action!

What I liked best was the comment on the bottom of the video (about the pocket being good for a stone) good idea to convey additional information. The setting was ideal too. Doing it outdoors really with the background sounds and all was great.

Sorry about the long post, looking forward to more reviews. Personally I’d really like to see a [video] review of the SOG revolver as I haven’t noticed it I.R.L. at any stores to check out myself, the same with the SOG multitools. Or even just any good multitool reviews.

Good job on the video review. I second most of what’s been said so far - great setting, cudos on posting a video review so quick, yada yada. Keep ‘em coming. You know where to find me if you need help.

Good start with the video review, I’ll definitely check in for more. Most of the feedback above is similar to what I would give. Keep it going. Are you focusing on serious survival and defense products or are you planning on moving into personal preparedness for the everyday individual as well?

I’ll add survivalreview.com to my blog - http://www.justprepare.com. It’s kind of finding it’s way at the moment but it covers a similar topic.

First of all, how’d you get that domain name? Good job on that and the SOG Pup video review.

Have you ever seen the SOG Seal Revolver? I’ve been thinking about buying the SOG Pup or the Gerber LMF II untill I saw the SOG Revolver. It seems far more versatile than either and is more practical for someone who is more likely to need firewood vs. get in a knife fight or have to spear for food. What do you think?

This knife is so awesome. It is razor sharp and great balance. Except the second day i was playing with it i stabbed my hand a 2 cm deep gash barely any force which shows how sharp it is. This knife is one of the best i will ever buy.
